After a tough day of driving, we've reached Siliguri, which is in the Chicken's Neck - a narrow strip of land linking mainland India to its north-eastern states. Staying the night here. We also managed to prise away Dr. Shanka Sen, a diabetes specialist in Sikiguri, for an interview on diabetes education collaboration between India and the GCC. Fascinating insights.

Made it safely to Varanasi, the cultural capital of India... it was the toughest - & one of the most enjoyable - days yet. We didn't think it was possible, but today's driving conditions were even more dangerous than yesterday. Adrenaline, focus & perseverance got us through. Staying in Varanasi for the next 2 nights to give the Rickshaw some well deserved rest & relaxation.
